Work

I’m working as a Technical Writer at Deepnote, and most of my time has gone into technical writing across blog posts and documentation around notebooks, data workflows, and the Jupyter ecosystem. That’s been the main thing. I spend a lot of time trying to understand tools properly before writing about them, which is slow in a good way.

The nice part is that the work sits pretty close to the stuff I already care about, so it doesn’t feel too far removed from the writing and open-source rabbit holes I was already going down on my own.

Writing

I’ve been writing here more actively than I was last year, which feels good. Lately it’s mostly been posts about developer tools, notebooks, open source, and the communities around them. Two recent ones were Déjà Vu: Recompute Only What’s Necessary and My experience at PyConf Hyderabad 2026, which is probably a pretty accurate snapshot of my brain right now: partly notebook/devtools stuff, partly community reflections.

Still no rigid publishing system or content calendar or anything like that. I’m mostly trying to write when I have something real to say and not force it.

Community

SciPy India has become a much bigger part of my life than it was when I last updated this page. A lot of my community energy goes there now: helping with meetup and event work, public-facing stuff, and generally trying to contribute to the community’s return to more active in-person momentum.

There has also been some miscellaneous community work around other open-source tools and developer-tooling ecosystems, but SciPy India is the main one. If you follow me on LinkedIn or elsewhere, you’ve probably seen a lot of that already. That’s where most of my attention is, and it has been genuinely nice seeing that work become more real over the last few months.

Life

I’m based in Chennai now, and traveling more than I was before for conferences, meetups, and community things. That part of life has definitely picked up. A few months ago, most of this felt more online; now there are actual trips, familiar faces, and the usual slightly-tiring-but-worth-it cycle of travel and catching up afterwards.

Still trying to balance work, writing, community commitments, and time to actually learn things properly. Also trying, slowly, to get better at public speaking and generally be more comfortable doing things in public instead of just on the internet. Same problem as before, just with more movement.

This is a now page. The idea is simple: keep it updated with what you’re focused on right now, not your entire life story or future plans.
